The motor is extremely quiet and generates a minimal amount of heat while running. The brushless design eliminates brush changing and carbon dust emissions while providing fast rotor acceleration and deceleration. The duct system supplies a continuous flow of ambient air to the rotor chamber to keep the rotor cool and prevent significant increases in sample temperature.
